Lime's 2021 Year in Review

Cities, Featured, Spotlight | December 30, 2021 | Share

We achieved so much at Lime in 2021, bringing us closer to our mission of building a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. It’s thanks to our strong partnerships with the communities and cities we serve,  the continued trust our riders place in us and of course, our amazing Lime team.

This year scooted by quickly, but not without us hitting major milestones, including:

  • Launching our Gen4 scooter and bike
  • Expanding to 80 new cities
  • Surpassing 250 million rides, replacing an equivalent of more than 60 million car trips, and preventing more than 25 metric tons of carbon emissions
  • Launching e-scooters for the first time in London and New York City

All of the above could not be possible without the dedication of the Lime team. Across different time zones, continents and seasons, our team worked tirelessly to keep safety, sustainability, equity and innovation at the forefront of everything we do. We’re so proud to be the world’s largest and most ridden shared electric vehicle company, and we’re well on our way to making the world even greener next year. Here’s to bringing Lime to more cities and to more riders in 2022.

Happy New Year!
